#New Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine

Chevrolet has a new turbodiesel engine for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. After years of development, the company is introducing this new engine as a great upgrade to the grey Silverado.

It will replace the old 2.2L, but the EPA delayed the release of this new engine for several reasons. One of them is the possibility of a diesel scandal. However, this new engine is not as expensive as the older version.

The new engine has several advanced features. Its cast aluminum block is 25% lighter than the equivalent iron block, resulting in better performance in all speed ranges.

It has variable geometry turbocharger and intake manifold components. It also features ceramic glow plugs and Active Thermal Management. It does not need block heater until the temperature drops to -22 degrees F. This engine also features exhaust brake.

Another major upgrade for the 2022 Chevy Silverado is the 3.0L turbo-diesel engine. This engine is available on the RST, LTZ and High Country models.

It delivers a strong 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Its torque peak is 95 percent at 1,250 rpm, providing a smooth driving experience.

The gray Chevy Silverado will continue to be sold alongside the new redesigned model as the fourth generation of the nameplate. Its future model will bring only minor changes over the 2022 model year.

The Duramax trim will get a new LZ0 engine with similar specs to the current Silverado 1500. The new Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine is also expected to come with a reversing camera as an optional feature.

The Duramax 3.0L Turbo-DieSel engine is also available in the 2WD model. It has a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. Its fuel efficiency has also been improved.

Its fuel consumption is 33 mpg, making it one of the more efficient trucks in the class. It is a great choice for those who need to tow heavy loads.

The LTZ trim has a power 10-way adjustable driver’s seat with a memory setting, dual-zone climate control, a leather interior, and an 8-inch touchscreen.

The High Country trim has 20-inch wheels, spray-on bedliner, and high-intensity headlights. It is available in three new colors for the 2022 model.
